Md Monower Zahid Khan
Md Monower Zahid Khan is currently working as Cross Border Energy Specialist in USAID BADGE. He has a BSc in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering from the Military Institute of Science & Technology, Bangladesh, and completed his MSc in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. He has over 11 years of experience in the Bangladesh Power Sector focusing on the preparation of Short, Medium & Long-term Generation Expansion Plans.
Monower started his career as an R&D Engineer in Energypac Engineering Ltd in 2011. Later in 2012, Monower joined Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). He was involved in the preparation of Long-term Power Generation Expansion Plans. As part of BPDB, Monower has worked with various developmental agencies incl. ADB, World Bank, USAID, and JICA on issues such as power system optimization-forecasting, energy security, energy economics, power system optimization-forecasting, Cross border electricity trade, and power system master plan.
