Md Omar Faruk Joy is the founder of ‘We Can Cox’s Bazar’, a youth-led organization that works for social and environmental causes. He is also a program officer at SIP Academy India and a co-founder of the Asia Pacific Climate Project. He has been volunteering since 2012 and has organized and participated in several international events related to the SDGs, peace, and climate change. He is a fellow of various initiatives such as The Earth on Clean Air and Renewable Energy Advocacy Project, Global Peace Chain, and International Peace Diplomacy Corps-Korea. He has won numerous awards for his innovative and impactful ideas, such as the Covid-19 Innovation Ideas Competition award by the British Council, the Green Inclusive Business Champion 2023, and the Movers Changemaker Award by UNDP 2023.
