Sobita Gautam, MP
At 27, Sobita Gautam is the youngest female parliamentarian in Nepal's history. She's also the only female candidate to win in the Kathmandu district. In her role, she advocates for the rights of the underprivileged and focuses on improving access to health, education, and financial justice. Sobita is a founding member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, which is now the fourth largest party in Nepal. She plays a significant role in promoting sustainable development through this political outfit. Sobita is part of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee in Parliament. Before entering politics, she worked as an advocate and was actively involved in youth activism and national TV as a program producer and presenter. Sobita's achievements have not only inspired Nepali youth to create opportunities within the country but have also motivated them to engage in active politics for positive change.
